Health Insurance Identification and Verification
There’s more to effective medical support performance than just sending out National Medical Support Notices (NMSNs). It’s about making sure that kids have access to insurance coverage—regardless of the source. No organization has a larger and more current data match network for identifying health insurance coverage. We have access to eligibility information from over 1,000 insurance plans. And that means increased medical support performance for your agency.

Medical Support Enforcement
Few things an employer receives are as important as the NMSN. It’s a federally mandated notice requiring employers to enroll children in their benefit plans. But the volume and complexity of the paperwork can make compliance a frustrating burden.
HMS has proven medical support enforcement services that increase employer NMSN compliance rates and improve agency performance, including an employer website for easy one-line employer enrollment.

Child Support Insurance Solution
Many children in the child support program fall in the gap between available health insurance options. They are from working families that earn too much to quality for government programs, but can’t afford—or don’t have access to—employer-provided or other private coverage.
Child support agencies have had few tools to address the healthcare needs of these children, even as new federal mandates press states to improve medical support performance.

Enhanced Wage Match
Many child support agencies are hitting a wall with their state wage file processing. They match a great many non-custodial parents with employer records, but they need to find more. Every missed match means more hardship for another child.
HMS offers agencies the opportunity to significantly increase their wage match results. We employ a unique approach that identifies employment information despite inaccurate and or incomplete data in the state wage file and agency case files.

In a recent head-to-head comparison performed by the State of Indiana, HMS identified 3 times as many insurance policies as the next best vendor and 6 times as many active policies as the next vendor. And we were able to do so with 95% accuracy.
